In 2008 Leandro was the winner of Alberton Dros Superstars Singing Competition and went through to the finals at Dros Superstars Finals Competition.

He also became an SA Junior Male Vocalist Winner where he achieved 1 x Silver and 3 x Gold in the Junior Category and also became the SA Junior Vocal Champion.

Leandro was selected to represent SA in World Performing Arts Championship in Los Angeles in July 2008, where he achieved 1 x Bronze, 1 x Silver and 3 x Gold medals in the Junior Category. He also achieved the World Champion Award in the Jazz Category and the Hollywood Industry Award (potential for Performing Arts Industry).

Leandro also received the Portuguese Government Order of Merit : Junior achiever in 2008.

Musical Training  :

Leandro has always wanted to sing. From a very early age Leandro had always entertained everyone at family functions with his singing and imitation of the hits of the day.

So at the age of 10 Leandro started receiving vocal training and his interest and love for music has grown in leaps and bounds.

Leandro is also learning to play piano for 2 years now.

Leandro has since then passed his beginners vocal exam with distinction (in December 2006) as well as the intermediary exam in December 2007, also with honours.
